Jordan & Chris - The Mill Barns

In February of this year we found ourselves back at one of our favourite venues - The Mill Barns for the wedding of Jordan & Chris. We are recommended suppliers for The Mill Barns and know the venue extremely well, in fact our first 6 weddings of 2023 were at this particular venue.

If you've got your heart set on a barn wedding venue in the West Midlands then look no further than The Mill Barns. A stunning waterfront venue offering a rustic yet contemporary feel, with everything you need for your wedding day.

Jordan & Chris put their trust in us to help create the style and the day they wanted and had dreamt of for so long.

We love to ask for feedback from our couples and we're sharing below what they had to say...

Tell us a little bit about your wedding day

Our wedding day was a dream come true, everything was perfect from start to finish. We got married at the beautiful Mill Barns and although we had chosen a date in February the weather was gorgeous, bright blue sky’s and sunshine.

Our wedding was three years of plans, ideas and dreams and it all came together so beautifully, it was everything we had imagined. Lesley and Team Rustic really listened to what we wanted, we were so blown away when we saw the final look on the day of our wedding.

What was your favourite part of the wedding day?

Getting to marry my best friend of seven years and being able to share that memorable day with our friends and family. We are still on cloud nine.

Why did you choose Team Rustic?

Never planning a wedding before and not living local to our venue, we chose to use the suppliers list from the Mill Barns. I honestly did not have a clue where to start. We looked at The Rustic Wedding Company's page and I instantly knew we needed them!

The standard of props and work was amazing and we felt all of the pictures of styling we had seen from there was exactly what we wanted. The team were really prompt with replies and nothing was ever too much for them. Even planning a wedding during covid the team made it so easy!

We had meetings via Zoom initially and Lesley showed us so many options and explored the showroom virtually until we finally got to visit the show room, which was amazing!

There were many ideas I hadn’t thought of and it was hard not to get carried away but Lesley kept me grounded and helped me to see what I did and didn’t need. Lesley put so much thought into what we wanted and what would work with our venue rather than try to just get us to book lots of different things.

This really helped me to put all of my trust into her and both her and the team did not disappoint, they did amazing! We also loved that we could have our venue styling and bridal flowers too all from team rustic which made the planning process so much easier.

Which element did you love the most?

The Mill Barns is such a beautiful venue it didn’t need lots of things taking away from the beauty and Lesley really took that on board when putting together our design plan, but the thing we loved the most was the burnt orange colour scheme and the absolutely breathtaking flowers!

They were the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen and I can’t get over how amazing they were.

Any tips for engaged couples?

Don’t stress, the day goes so fast so just take it all in and enjoy it. Take five minutes as a newly married couple to breathe and talk to each other away from guests and pictures. It’s your day! Enjoy it.

Huge congratulations once again Jordan & Chris and thank you for your wonderful feedback, it means so much to us all here at Team Rustic.

We loved styling this Burnt Orange themed wedding with lots of dried pampas grass elements so thank you for asking us to help you!
