Georgia & Oliver - Bassmead Manor

A bride and groom kissing on the bridge at Bassmead Manor Barns

For this blogpost we are taking it back to November 2023 where the team styled the stunning Bassmead Manor Barns for the wedding of Georgia & Oliver.

Bassmead Manor is set amongst acres of Cambridgeshire countryside. A tranquil, romantic and rustic venue all rolled into one!

Tell us a little bit about your wedding day...?

Our wedding day was at Bassmead Manor Barns on a cold Sunday in November.

We have always dreamed of a winter wedding and everyone being cosy inside with warm fairy lights and our favourite Sunday roast!

What was your favourite part of the whole day?

My favourite part of the day was seeing Ollie's face as I walked down the aisle.

I will never forget that magical moment and the look he had on his face, it still gives me butterflies now!

The whole day was just like a fairytale. It was everything we had dreamed of and more!

Which styling element did you love the most?

I absolutely loved all of the styling Team Rustic did, but my favourite was the fresh greenery moongate that was behind us during the ceremony, it made such a statement and tied all of the decor together of fresh greenery and forest green.

Any top tips for engaged couples?

My top tips for newly engaged couples would be; enjoy every second of planning, it may seem overwhelming and stressful at the beginning but I promise, it’s all worth it on the day.

Also...make sure you spend lots of time together during the day, sneak off for some pictures and really enjoy the special moments you have together just the two of you!

Why did you choose Team Rustic?

We chose Team Rustic because I had seen them on Instagram and always loved their style and just knew even before we were planning the wedding that I wanted them to style our venue!
