Crockwell Farm - Zoe & Dom

Bride & Groom watching the sunset at Crockwell Farm

Towards the end of last wedding season we had the absolute pleasure of styling the wedding of Zoe & Dom on a gloriously sunny September Day.

Zoe & Dom chose to have their wedding at Crockwell Farm, a stunning family run wedding venue in the Midlands with extensive grounds and accommodation for you and your guests. They can offer everything to make your day special in every way. If you are looking for a rural and idyllic place to 'Tie the Knot' then look no further than Crockwell Farm.

The weather made it possible for Zoe & Dom to get married outside in the orchard. We decorated with lanterns, a statement floral arch and lots of greenery, and with the combination of sunshine and all their loved ones present, it truly was a magical ceremony.

We always love to receive feedback from our couples so read on to hear the kind words from Zoe & Dom...

Tell us a little bit about your wedding day...

We got married in September 2022 at Crockwell Farm and it was the perfect day. We knew we wanted an outdoor wedding and luckily the weather allowed us to have our dream wedding in the Orchard.

The aisle was decorated by Team Rustic with tall lanterns and foliage which made for a beautiful ceremony and our guests got to enjoy our drinks reception in the gardens. Our wedding day was everything we had ever dreamed of and more.

What was your favourite part of the whole day? It's difficult to choose a favourite part because we literally loved every moment. Being able to get married at such a beautiful venue and having all of our friends and family there to witness it was so special to us and something we will never forget. A personal highlight of the day was the speeches. I don't think I have ever cried (emotionally and with tears of laughter) so much in my life.

Which styling element did you love the most? Every styling element of our wedding was amazing and exactly what we wanted but our favourite has to be the floral arch. We originally had it placed at the orchard pavilion for our ceremony as a beautiful back drop for our 'I do's'. Team Rustic then moved it inside, to the wedding breakfast room, after our ceremony had finished. It made a great entrance piece of us to walk through and also made a lovely back drop for photos later in the day.

The floral arch was huge so I can imagine it was not an easy task to move it, however, Lesley and her team managed to do this without a single guest noticing what was going on in the background or that it had even been moved.

Any top tips for engaged couples? Make sure you schedule in some time to spend alone as couple just after your ceremony or at some point in the day. Even if it's only for 10 minutes, just to take it all in and celebrate just the 2 of you. We scheduled in 15 minutes where we just went off, by ourselves, with a bottle of champagne so we could just be together alone and take a breather.

If you are considering having a videographer and your budget allows for one, we highly recommend having one for the day. We were unsure if we needed/wanted one to be begin with but we're so happy we did in the end. Your wedding day goes so quickly and a videographer captures every moment of that. Being able to sit down and watch a video of your day a few months later brings back so much happiness and emotion. There is only so much a photograph can capture and having it on video allows you to look back on some lovely moments from your day and even some parts you may have missed.

Why did you choose Team Rustic? Having followed The Rustic Wedding Company on Instagram since our engagement, as soon as we saw the styling photos on their page, we knew we had to use Team Rustic for our wedding decor.

From our first interactions with the team, nothing was too much trouble and we started to see our wedding vision come to life. We wanted a modern but elegant feel, with lots of greenery and foliage and the team were able to give us everything we wished for and more.

Being able to visit the showroom and see a sneak peak of our wedding was amazing because we knew exactly what to expect. So much care, thought and attention was put into making our day look perfect and we are so grateful.
