So... at the beginning of November we announced that we had been nominated for an award at The Wedding Industry Awards this year and on Tuesday we attended the official awards ceremony at the lovely East Midlands wedding venue: The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club.
We were greeted at the door with tokens for a yummy cocktail lovingly provided by Beetle Juice (Thanks guys!) and headed straight over to the bar! I'm not entirely sure what was in it, I heard the word "Gin" and gulped it down. (I needed to calm my nerves for the upcoming awards presentation obviously).
After a little bit of networking time with other nominees we were asked to head into the awards presentation room and after having a sneaky peek at the shiny awards trophies, we anxiously awaited our category announcement (which happened to be one of the last to be announced... eeek!)
It was such a joy to see lots of our fellow industry friends win an award and we are proud to say that we have worked alongside these fabulous people this year at some absolute corker weddings. (Head on over to our gallery to check out some photographs of said weddings!)
When it came to announcing the best wedding stylist in the East Midlands we were told that the judges had decided to give out not one, but two awards in this category as the competition was so close between the finalists.
We honestly couldn't believe it when our name was called out as winners of the "Highly Commended" award and I was totally lost for words.
We took a stroll down the red carpet where we were handed our award certificate by the founder of the awards; Damian Bailey and walked away feeling incredibly proud of what we have achieved this year!
Some of you may have been following our little business venture from the very beginning and will know that it is only recently that we actually decided to take the plunge and offer "full wedding styling" services to our clients so it is unbelievable to think how far we have come in such a short amount of time.
We are officially AWARD WINNING!
We had a wonderful evening at TWIA 2017 and want to say a huge thank you to all of our couples who not only took the time to vote for us but also thank you for choosing us to style your weddings!
What a wonderful ending to a fabulous wedding season!
