A BEAUTIFUL WEDDING FOR TWO BEAUTIFUL LADIES
Our stylist Lesley first met Lucy at primary school and was absolutely overjoyed when she contacted her to style her wedding to the lovely Sarah at Shearsby Bath last year.
After an initial catch up that involved lots of tea drinking and laughing, we had a consultation meeting and went through some design concepts and ideas. Lucy & Sarah already had an incredible vision of what they wanted their day to be like, they'd already chosen their rustic theme & colour palette and just needed a bit of help to bring it all together on the day.
The design brief for the styling was simple. Rustic and Romantic with fragrant lavender elements and lots of hessian throughout. Swags of bunting for the marquee, vintage wooden crates galore and tonnes of personalised touches.
Lucy and Sarah have a gorgeous Dog called Murphy and wanted to include him somehow in their decor. (he even came along to the reception!) They contacted another primary school friend Hayley who runs her own wedding stationery business called I Met Him on a Sunday who then went on to create some beautiful rustic table number cards using his photographs. We displayed these on little wooden easels as part of the table centre pieces, along with some galvanized watering cans of wild flowers and tea lights.
For the top table Lucy & Sarah opted for a long hessian & lace table runner with vintage glass candlesticks, tea lights and lots of hessian & lace jam jars full of wildflowers. They chose to have hessian chair sashes and we added a little bunch of lavender and gypsophila to the backs of the bride's chairs to make them that little bit more special.
Other decorations included, bunting, our vintage wooden ladders, lavender painted photo frames of family pictures, a stack of wooden crates and our fabulous Rustic Candy Cart which we decorated to match the colour scheme and theme.
The beautiful cake was made by Lucy's twin sister Carly and we think she did a cracking job!
We had a fab time catching up with old school friends and working with Lucy & Sarah to create their dream wedding and hope they had a wonderful day.
